I would not buy a 435 'vert if it was $40k. The pricing is just laughable.
I wonder if BMW is just padding its sales stats. I just cannot fathom spending anywhere near what they are asking for a pretty basic car. Like the standard 4 series coupe, it is boring styling, nothing new really technology wise, and vastly overpriced. BMW's were never a bargain, but this is in a different league. |

.. just thought of this.
How is resale going to work for the current 3/4 series? I highly doubt someone is going to pay $40-45k or so for a no options convertible in 2 years. These cars are going to depreciate faster than anything else around. (assuming they are bought in the first place) |

Ill prob just have an I3 (saving up) and an E90 M3 in the stable for a long time…. Flamesuit on big time The X5, 5er, and 7er are still cool cars but the 1/2/3/4 series ESP the "M performance" models that are NOT M cars have opened up the market to entry lvl BMW owners and "M enthusiasts" who do NOT know the difference between oversteer/understeer and upshifting/downshifting or horsepower/torque… or even ///M cars and M performance cars. BMW lost a sale to my friend who wanted a 435i with manual. He's now hoping that the M235i vert doesn't get castrated in this way as well...

Really have to see one in person, but I'm not seeing an opinion change coming up now, esp with these prices.. Looks like I might go with a 11 or 12 335i vert instead of this..

Well, I just did about 120k worth of upgrades to a e90 330i (assuming gran turismo has any bearing on real life).
So with stg 3 weight reduction and 600 WHP, it might be possible to own a $200k F33 3 series. Naturally, I would debage, put ebay ///m fenders on and run a ZERO tailpipe exhaust (sleeper nissan versa catback). And then seal the deal with some classy Privat Akzent wheels, which I learned is actually german for "high performance wheels". I'd probably lease and with the right Russian money laundering 3rd party agency, I expect a monthly payment of ~400/mnth. |
