JB Stage 1 Installed with review and a question.

Just installed the stage 1 chip from Burger and its great in every way. Super easy install, took about five mins. The car pulls harder, is super smooth, and is a lot of fun. You can feel the power all through out the power band, and feels stock in sense of smoothness. Shifts are still very fast and crisp. All modes are improved, except for when I am manually shifting. When I am in manual mode it doesn't feel as powerful as in sport and sport+. Is this just me or has anyone else experienced this? I disconnected the battery for install, and zip tied some of the loose wires not used. I tucked the box near the battery terminals, and everything went back on flawlessly, meaning the covers. If anyone has any input on the manual mode that would be greatly appreciated. Anyone who is thinking about this mod just do it, totally worth it.

Did you buy the EWG Harness that Terry sells also, or does stage 1 not require that you get the harness?

i recently removed it was shocked how slow the car was...my friend and i did a timed run on 2014 f30 x-drive 335 with jb stage one and were about to get 5.4s 0 - 60, which sucks for a stock car

what i noticed is that on some days the car feels faster and on some its dull as a door nob...without any error codes/limp modes; anyone experience this?

i don't have any other performance mods. It feels great. At first I thought it was slower in manual mode but now that the car has adjusted it feels fine in every mode.

stage one does not require anything else beside plugging in the two plugs

What fuel recomended for stage1? I used 100octane in Europe. But now I can buy only 95octane. This fuel is safe for stage1?

I use 93 I think as long as you use 91 you are fine

It's super early here in CA, so forgive me. But I don't understand what you are saying... So did you have the JB stage one installed or not when you were "about" to get 0-60 in 5.4?

Would like clarification on this as well, since his post was a little unclear.

From what I read sounded like he had a negative effect on performance installing the jb4 stg 1???

Please elaborate on this, as this is the first report im hearing of this. And to be clear, this is without the 2014 EWG harness?

It's available for purchase and there are quit a few cars running the jb4 with the EWG harness. And per Terry "makes a big difference".
