Modern LINE: Oyster Leather Option

Can anyone confirm BMW has changed the way they offer the Modern Oyster interior?

My CA recently told me they now give you a black dash and steering wheel now. Yet there are not any pictures searchable in the site nor has anyone posted a Modern purchase in a while.

I think a Modern Mineral Gray/Oyster with 19s would look good. But not sold on oyster interior until i see pictures. Online Configuration still shows dash and wheel as Oyster as well.

Modern Line is not very popular sadly. I have yet to see one. I'll browse through a few dealers websites to see if I can find anything for you.

I found a 2013 Modern Line with Oyster. The upperdash and steering is still Oyster and not black.

When will BMW realize the 2011 335i had a better color options list than all these LINES!

Lines = less choice for the enthusiast.

I have a 2012 modern line w/ oyster and love it.

PITA to keep clean but i wouldnt trade it for the world.

Modern Line only gets the black dash/wheel when you order the black interior. Used to be (MY2012), you got the light colored wheel/dash when you ordered the black interior.

So, Oyster will still get light dash/wheel no matter what.

I do agree the Oyster/Black on E90s looked amazing.

The modern line also gets the ugly oyster gauges. I liked everything about the outside of the Modern Line but not the interior. I'm happy with my M-Sport. I would have gotten a Luxury line in the Dark Blue with Saddle inside if I could have found a manual.

But the 2-tone dash doesn't, and the color is orangy in person. 5 Series got the saddle color right...

I'd skip the Modern line and either go Sport/M Sport/Base...the luxury line and Modern have the worst rims of the lot, and most odd interiors. Very chick like.

Totally agree, and the same here. +1

It's all about choices and feelings yet I am sick of reading people dislike the Modern line option. I love the interior oyster color and would not ever trade it with the saddle brown, never ever!

For the right buyer it's a perfect fit. But it's more luxury than sporty. And I really think the oyster interior would work with a black dash and black steering wheel like the 11's had.

The tabacco color on the x5 is really a winner. Or the new brown on 5 series individual. Beats both colors in my book.

Maybe we need some Oyster pro pictures to make the debate real... Sell me on oyster.. I think bmw isn't showing it enough in all the videos online...

Your CA is absolutely correct. If you go ones BMW's website, you can spec a 2013 F30 Modern Line with the black steering wheel and dash if you get the black interior.

Here is a picture of my 2013 modern line. Ifyou get the oyster seats you get the oyster dash and wheel, if you choose black seats you get black dash and black wheel.
