You might even want to turn DSC off altogether...

brake boosting from 2k rpm works best as said above. if u have awd use LC. with rwd LC gives too much wheel spin, since it revs to 4.5k rpm

Ok thanks, I'll have to try it. Oh by the way how do you use launch control on the f30?

Yeah, I'm waiting on a x-drive M Sport and would also be interested in how LC is utilized. I don't recall seeing this before...

when I brake boost to 2k rpm even with 20's and a 275 tire it yields too much wheelspin. 1700-1800 seems to do the trick. It launches hard though I have to admit. even with 2 shifts to get to 60 0-60 is still very impressive.

Sport+ turns traction half way off. To fully turn it off you have to hold the traction control button.

Do you own an F30? There is no launch control.

LC= launch control
I posted the sport AT launch approach in a thread I created.
I thought you saw it?

The F30 does not have LC "launch control".
What we can do is brake torque.

At around 2100 rpm, even with the brakes on, the rear wheels will start to spin a bit.
I found a great way to launch hard is to brake, then throttle and when rpm gets to around 2000 let the brakes go.
But, don't just stomp on the throttle WFO cause you'll just do a wheel spin demonstration.
Modulate the throttle so that you get a bit of wheel spin and then hook up.

I used sport+ mode as it allowed plenty of wheel spin with no intrusion.
I didn't try turning DTC and DSC fully off with the button for that.
Give it a shot and see.

You can try different rpms as well as better throttle control.
Of course, to know which method yields the best accel times, you'd have to go to a 1/4 mile track and get some real numbers.
These cars are not 1/4 mile machines, but it's still fun to get to the track.
I doubt I'll take mine when it gets here.

Sport+ activates "dynamic traction control".

DSC and DTC work together.
I noticed in sport+ mode, even though it shows DSC "off", there is still stability control activated, but you have to get the rear to a greater degree off center before it intervenes.

LC= launch control
first you need to have 1000 miles

1. set tranny in manual mode and put in M1 (first gear)
2. hold the brake
3. floor the gas pedal
4. once you see the flag on the screen between the tachometer and speedometer let go of the brake but hold the gas pedal to the floor

I don't have a DCT though, it's the 8speed auto.

no worries, I've just always wanted to use that emoticon It's an 8spd auto.. Very DCT-like in its speed and function, but not a true DCT....

I tried it last night. The sweet spot seemed to be at 1800 rpm. It pulled nice and hard with no wheels pin. I tried it a couple of times at 2000rpm but it seems to be the breaking point and it started to spin the wheels. Anyway it was good fun.
