Poll...F31 Bumper upgrade. M Sport or M3 style?
I purchased an Mineral Grey F31 a 2 months ago. So far I've upgraded the wheels to 18" 398, installed xenon oem retrofit, installed KW V1 coilovers and installed an M Performance brake kit.
I need some help on deciding which way to go with the front bumper. I really like the look of the M3 style bumper, but I have never seen it on an F31 and really don't want to look like a old man poser (almost 40) driving a boy racer car. What do you guys think? Too much to go with the M3 style bumper? Will it work with an F31 aesthetically? Also, now that I have upgraded the headlights to OEM Xenon, the fog lights look extremely yellow. Are there whiter bulbs that I can switch out? It seems like many just ditch the fog lights, right? |

The M Sport is a nice upgrade. Fog lights serve a purpose. There are several previous posts in this section with advice about whiter bulbs - a quick search or scroll will find it for you.
Good luck!

I had the m3 and wasn’t happy with the fitment, the m3 bumper can also look funny in certain angles unless your dropped and have wheels imo, recently got into an accident and had the bumper replaced with the msport this time, haven’t seen it yet

M3 all the way! But I'm biased as well since that's what I did with my F30. just not a fan of the M Sport on the 3 series this generation. The 4 series looks a lot better in my opinion. As for the fog lights being yellow, I just swapped the bulb so it's white instead. Then I got Lamin-x gunsmoke film and tinted them. This way I get fog lights that blend in and look like I don't have them from far away, and when I need them it's a nice white light instead.

I am biased as I chose the M Sport route myself. It really comes down to which look YOU prefer, not everyone else. I wanted factory spec.
Keep in mind the M3 style bumper is not identical to the true M3 design so you?ll end up with a bit of a fantasy look. The M proportions are entirely different than the ones on your car. If you go this route you will want to consider updating the remainder of your car as Kailec did, it is more convincing. With regards to the fogs I would keep them, they are an upgrade, why take them off. Just my 2 cents.
