Bmw f30/f80 oem conversion

How much would it cost to do a full exterior f80 conversion using oem parts not the fake parts?

I'm not sure but I don't think the bumpers are interchangeable. The F80 does not fit on the f30

Cost may vary based on parts that you purchase . From that I?ve seen from previous posts here is what you?ll need, others may add to the list if I forgot anything.

F80 front Bumper
F80 hood
F80 fenders
F80 headlights
F80 side skirts (could buy after market)
F80 rear quarter Panels or custom flares
F80 rear bumper.

Try searching for those parts online you should get an idea of the price

Conversion cost

I brought it to an auto shop and the kit cost me total around: $1200

Steel Fenders
Front Bumper
Back Bumper
Exhaust tips (Since the f80 bumper exhaust is a quad, while the f30 (328i xdrive) is a dual on mine)

The Installation and Paint cost me around: $2300

I am getting the whole car painted in girgio telesto grey, since living in Arizona, the heat damaged my paint a lot.
Installation and paint takes around 2-3 weeks
They have to modify my exhaust to fit the bumper

Purchased new tires (20 inch): $850

So Total was around $4350.

Hope this helps.

If you dont plan to chang

Aren't you missing the sideskirts, hood and numerous other parts?

Yeah, that's not a true conversion, just using the aftermarket F80 style bumpers scaled to fit an F30. I had one for a few months (front and rear) and hated it. The proportions were all off. As everyone previously stated, you'd need to swap the front lights for a real F80 bumper, and those alone are like at least $2000.

I think each real M3 side mirror is $2k too. I think the sideskirts really help the proportions though. Tkaishu if you used the OEM parts you're still missing a lot of items to make it a real conversion.

After all is said and done, Full OEM conversion including the modifications needed to make it work, total cost would probably put you up to what a decent used F80 would cost. F80 has a wider front from what I see, you'll have to buy several other little parts with OEM prices to make it work.

Exactly. Take the $10k it probably costs to do it right, sell your car, and use all of that for a nice down payment on the car we all really want.

I understand, I am missing a lot of parts, but it's just a little project I wanted to do.

I know, but I actually liked the side skirts that came on my m pkg 3 series so I didn't bother. I'm just doing it for aesthetics and honestly I am starting to regret it hahaha.

That would be expensive, no? And it wouldn't drive that well if it's been in a crash.

It wouldnt really be that expensive since you would have to change the body parts anyway. I would be looking for one where its not like majorly crashed only the body parts basically so it should ride the same.
