I like the m sport wheel also, but this is 1/3 the price of the M sport wheel
And feels better.

It's actually a 1/8 bigger than the m sport and same thickness. I like the
Feel of this wheel better. It's 4 1/2 inches.

Plus this wheel was designed by me. Its not a sport, m sport or the performance wheel.
It's the thickness I wanted and choice of leather.

Plus the carbon fiber ring..

I really like it!!! I miss the feel of the perforated leather on my e90 m sport wheel. That wheel has a lot going on with stitching, red stripe, and cf trim

How does one go about ordering one of these custom steering wheels?

Thanks, I love the wheel. Even with the cost not being a factor I'd probably take this wheel over the M Sport because it's unique and I like the thickness.

The stock Sport Wheel was like grabbing a piece of spaghetti. smile..

I thought of going all red stitching but decided on the red and blue.

The car is the Sport model so it's also keeping with look of the model.

I sent my stock sport wheel to a custom steering wheel guy that took my stock wheel and re wrapped it. You can design it anyway you please. Color, leather, thickness and such.

In person this wheel looks awesome. Don't let the crappy pictures give you the wrong impression.

And I like the firmness of the wheel. I have the M Sport wheel on my 07 E90 and it's a little soft. This one has some give to it, but a little more firm.

The guy did an outstanding job on the wheel.

The good news is I keep my heated wheel option and dont have to buy a different air bag.

About $330 dollars to have it redone.. And if you add extras a little more like special leather and more added padding.

I did the CF wrap myself…. I’ve done quite a few complete cars so this was a piece of cake. It came out excellent.

Thanks for the info, can you PM his preferred method of contact. Also, how long did it take from start to finish?

PM sent... Don't want to violate any sponsor rules.

3 days of work and 4 days to ship back and forth... I was down for a week.

I should have planned the ship out date better. I did 2 day return coming back.
Cost and extra 27 dollars.

So it's only doable if you have a stock sport wheel? I have a base wheel with heating, and want some options....this is a very slick design!

Can he add "thickness" to the stock wheel?

Yup..... He can do this to any steering wheel. I'll send you the link and you can check out his work.

I went this route because it's about $800 to a $grand to get an M Sport Wheel (With A/B) and I'm not a big fan of the Performance Wheel with the flat bottom.

Plus I don’t think you can get a heated Performance wheel.

And you have to recode from what I hear for the M Sport Wheel swap.
That I haven't confirmed.

You can design the wheel anyway you please. I put the design of this wheel together with pictures of 3 to 4 different wheels.

He copied it perfectly.

As I stated above the feel is night and day from the stock Sport Wheel.

At first I was going to go all red thread but I'm glad I went red and blue.

The Stock Sport wheel is 3 1/2 inches in circumference and I went 4 5/8. The stock M Sport is about 4 1/2 to 4 5/8.
