Decent new M2 deal

Seems quite a good deal...........

For an M2 with: DCT Gearbox, Reverse Camera, Cruise control with brake function, Heated front seats, Electric front seats with driver memory, Electric folding mirrors, Sun protection glass, Harman kardon

http://www.douglasparkglasgowbmw.co....tion=undefined

£569 deposit
£569 monthlies

Stick another couple of grand in and that would get the monthlies close to £500.

Yeah I have noticed that the deals and discounts on M2's are improving.

Even lads on the VW forum are looking at getting one, sort of a poormans M car.

I can see them becoming quite common if deals and discounts continue.

Am I reading this right?

The bullet after 4 years is over 50% of the on the road price so well over 50% of the real price. BMW FS have a lot of faith in it holding its value.

Yes it is nuts. The GFV is almost the same as the M3/4, and too high in my opinion, especially as the new version will have a more powerful and 'S' engine, which can only soften N55 engined cars.

I agree the GFV looks on the high side but it does reduce the monthly repayments which I guess is fine if all you're interested in doing is renting the car rather than owning it? Not your problem if after 4 years it isn't worth the GFV, just hand it back and move on....

Out of interest is it confirmed the "normal" M2 will get the S engine and if so when? I thought the detuned version of the M3/M4 engine was destined only for the M2 CS but could be wrong!

Very true, I'm just old fashioned in thinking I'd like to own the car.

I can't see them doing an N55 engined M2 alongside an S55. It's the last and I think only car to use the N55.

I know what you mean but on occasion BMW do some strange things; for example, up until it went out of production didn't the last Z4 continue to use the N54 (i.e. long after that engine had been pensioned-off in all the other models?).
