How much is a leather re-trim?
I really hate the Dakota leather- feels like plastic. How much do you think it'll cost to re-trim the front two seats?
Any recommended places in the Gold Coast/Brisbane Area? I'm thinking either this or oneighty light upgrade which will apparently cost around 2.5k for the whole assembly. cheers guys

I looked at getting a previous car done in a particular BMW leather and for 2 recaro seats, back seat and door trim was $3,200 that was in Sydney.
If you do it I would specify the same BMW leather don't try and do it on the cheap. Although given your build so far I doubt you will.

Not sure if this helps but I have been looking into having the dash wrapped in leather in Sydney and was quoted $4k! wtf. Don't think I will be doing that.

Yep. Think they saw me coming. Am still waiting on one more quote but not confident of anything reasonable. |

Retrimming a dash is expensive regardless of car.
Front seats would usually be around $1 - $1.5k mark on any given car depending on shape, for normal leather. A real 'premium' option like Nappa or something would be $2-$2.5k. You can then specify different colour stitching, quilting, piping etc which can all add to the price. This is from a very reputable Sydney auto trimmer. |

Just got some quotes from a reputable trimmer in Sydney.
Sport seat conversion - $600 Sport Seat in Premium leather - $2000 Front & Back seat retrim - $2500 (Premium leather, made in Argentina) Nappa Front & Back seat - $2875 (Nappa is 15% more per hide, made in England) Quilt stitch - $250 - $500 Arm rest - $200 Door trims - $1500 Nappa leather felt so much better than Dakota. The trimmer thought it was a synthetic leatherette. Total: $5625 for Armrest, door trims, sport seat conversion, Front & back seat nappa leather with diamond quilt stitch Last edited by knightsabers; 10-21-2014 at 12:09 AM.. |
