Thanks for the feedback guys. So far, I ended up doing the bootmod3. Was really easy to flash. Very noticeable results too. I used the “stage 1” map because everything else is stock on mine. The stage 2 mapping says it recommends an upgraded front intercooler and high flow downpipes. I’ll probably try and do those next. Any recommendations for those modifications? I’d still like to go with a dual exhaust.

Edit: does anyone have advice as far as getting a rear diffuser to make a dual exhaust work? Not sure I like the idea of cutting a slot for the extra exhaust pipe

There is only one downpipe on this motor. Your choices are catless or high flow catted. You can guess which ones are most expensive.

Probably looking at $300-$900 for the parts alone. Install isnt rocket science. Maybe another two hundred for an exhaust shop to install.

I have the GPlus intercooler and Im extremely happy with it.

You can read a nice, honest review here.

Moral of the story: it lowers temps, has excellent build quality and it only costs $200. It will be up to you to decide if you need a $400-$800 brand name one. I feel like this intercooler is the dirty secret that no one likes to talk about.

Lol! That was fast! Just curious, are you still under warranty?

Haven't been here for several months, at least since the time when BM3 didn't support the 320i (that's great news). Was reading protuning's site and the days of sending in a DME unlock are bye-bye. That too is great.

So, for those that are running BM3 on their 320i, what's the hp/whp numbers?
