Mud flaps for 3 GT
It appears mud flaps are not available for a 3 series gran turismo. I checked showbmwusa.com. They are available for the sedan as well as the sports wagon. Does anyone know if the ones for the sedan (BMW Mud Flaps / Front 82162218983, BMW Mud Flaps / Rear 82162218984 ) will go on a GT?
Also, is it easy to install yourself? What price can we expect for the dealer to install them? |

Part #s are bmw 82 16 2 333 951 and bmw 82 16 2 333 952. They're not in the US parts catalog but BMW dealers can get them direct from Germany.

Yes, here's mine -
I wouldn't be without them. Up here in the Scottish highlands, I suffered a little bit of chipping along the sills of my previous BMW, so had these fitted from new on this one. I did a deal with the dealership, I bought them and they fitted them at no cost.

Has anyone used these on a GT with the M Sports Package? Looking at comparison pics on BMW's web site between the M and non-M rear bumper and side molding they look like they should fit without issues but don't know for sure. I like the look for sure.

The black look fine with a dark paint job. With a lighter paint. especially white, they look out of place. I'd paint them white to go on a white car.

Just checked the original invoice and the total (inc. VAT) was £79.01.
That was September 2013. As I mentioned earlier, I paid for the mud flaps and the dealership fitted them F.O.C.

What set me on the mudflap thing was, as I have mentioned elsewhere, I suffered quite a bit of stone chipping on my previous BMW, an E92 325i in Platinum Bronze. During discussions with my dealership over that one, the question of painting the mudflaps cropped up, exactly for the reasons you have mentioned, light car, dark mudflaps. The dealership provided them and fitted them, free of charge, but didn't recommend having them painted. Although they are quite rigid, the dealership had seen painted ones that started to lose their paint due to minor flexing. But when they were fitted onto the Platinum Bronze 325, I actually quite liked them. The only shot I can find of my 325, doesn't really show the mudflaps too well, but I think you can see that they don't look too obtrusive.
