Dealers and a coded car
I have booked mine in for a service and have reported a problem with connecting to the car with the connected app and receiving RTTI. The service advisor thinks they may need to do a software update on the car.
Amongst other things I have FA coded 2TB sports transmission and 6NS enhanced bluetooth and I am wondering if I should return these back to standard. What do you think? |

Hmm. I think any FA coding will give the same problem. I'd return any FA coding back to standard otherwise they won't update.

OP you need to revert the VO back to how it left the factory or they will not be able to do the update. |

Difference is that dealer probably use online system for download data for flashing according your FA. Even this way they should be able to adapt option if expert profil is used. Is strange that they are able to remove option but can't adapt for new measuring plan. |

As far as I know, they are more safety using online programming according your FA from factory. If something goes wrong during flashing they protected as dealer use what bmw AG provide them to use.
