charging

on my 2012 F30, sports model, it seems there is only one charging outlet... anybody know where the second one would be if there would be one... cant find it

Do you mean cigarette lighter sockets or USB ports? There is a cigarette lighter socket in the center console just forward of the cup holders and another one in the rear of the console beneath the rear seat climate controls.

There are USB ports in the center console storage and one in the glove box. I think we already ascertained that US spec cars have more outlets than the Canadian spec though.

there is none in the rear seat climate control.

will USB also charge?

There is another under the glove box on the passenger side, all the way under on the left hand corner. You might have to feel for it.

This is one of those US-Canadian spec differences I was referring to. We don't get that one.

I guess it depends on what you're charging, but most phones these days can be charged via USB.

What about the trunk one? My US-spec F30 Sport has one in the trunk which I've used for the air compressor.

Nope. The Canadian spec F30 doesn't get that one either, which is too bad. I could think of a number of uses for a trunk socket.
