NBT Themes

Just wondering if anyone found a way of changing the theme of the new NBT units.

When compared to say the i3 models that have different GUI colours etc.

I think there is an option to change it to the BMW_i interface but I don't know if anyone has tried or bothered, mainly because its ugly :P

Tried changing themes to "bmw_i" but navi wouldnt boot past splash screen after coding. Oh well, it was worth a shot.

if your nbt has an early build date then you will most liekly need to flash it to update the software.
then it will probably work.

Just tried on my car and it also gets stuck on the boot logo. My I-Level is pretty damn new too. Updated a month ago.

there is probably other options that need to be checked off to make it work.
you can try loading a VIN from I-BMW, RR, etc to your FA and VO code the NBT.
That will most likely allow it to boot and function but service readouts and what not may not be working if it is different from the f30.

but at least at that point you can just compare the fdl odes to see what is changed so you can manually change it from an f30 vin.

Yeah probably, but i honestly really don't want to mess with it that much, because the headunit controls a lot of shit and i don't want it making any other part of the car thinking that it is an electric vehicle.

Well, I gave this a shot the other day. Rolls-Royce worked for me. However, I personally didn't like the White/Blue theme. Also, Sports Displays didn't work, and the menus where it shows a picture of your car (Vehicle Status, EfficientDynamics, etc.) didn't display properly. But it is pretty!

FYI, this works if you have NBT EVO! I tried this on my LCI F30 and it works perfectly fine. Mini also works with no issues.

Any ideas if it must be a NBT from an LCI or would just having the latest flash be enough ? Has anyone tried it on pre LCI. Would prefer the i theme to match the i3 would confuse the mrs thats for sure

I think EVO has more capacity so maybe its firmware has all the themes flashed to it my car is on 56.4 I believe.

You will likely need an LCI for this to work.

Just had my pre LCI flashed to latest firmware as had gearbox issues might give it a go again worst case I put it back
