Ipod USB Adapter - included with F30
Hi guys, I get my 2013 f30 very soon and it comes with bmw assist & extended bluetooth.
Will there be a cable included to attach my Iphone 5 with the car or do you have to buy separately? |

I didn't get a cable with my car, but kept the one from my old E90 and used that on my F30.

Not included in the car. the cable costs $90 (if I remembered correctly) at the dealer. That's absolutely absurd. But my dealer gave me one anyway.
Technically, you don't need one. http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=758492 When you pick up the car on day of delivery, make sure you have your Iphone 5 and get the delivery specialist to sync your phone to your car. Make sure everything works thru the Bluetooth connection and ask to show you everything that you need, i.e. setup. Make a call or two to ensure it's working okay before you drive off. Great thanks Bobble. So am I clear in thinking that using lightning cable will not remove any functionality compared to using bmw cradle? Given I have extended Bluetooth, does that mean I only really need Lightning cable or cradle for charging, no other functionality added?

Use a lightning connector and an audio jack and you'll have the equivalent of the BMW cable. My dealer threw the BMW cable in for free.
