Lol yeah could be a few contracts posted.

I at BMW Park Lane tomorrow, mainly seeing about wife's car..... However also seeing about a F31 335i.

The latter I casually mentioned while in Stives (Cambridgeshire) today, oh such a stony silence.

I can see me coming back with an M... and wife going 'so you went for a car for me and now we have one car and can't get dog n stuff in it'

I would be living in Holiday Inn for all next month lol.

On the subject of colours, I have to admit that having had the Z4 in Black Sapphire I am really not sure I'd have it again. When clean and polished and on a sunny day, I think it looks terrific. However on a grey day, or when at all dirty I found it a bit bland. Certainly I prefer the other BMW blacks more- Carbon Black being my favourite, but also quite like Jerez black too.

The other issue with a black car is that it shows swirls and scratches very easily indeed, though if you bought one from new, and had it longterm ceramic or nano sealant applied, and then washed only yourself carefully then you can avoid a lot of this I suppose.

Still... I wouldn't say not to one of course!

Wow when you put it like that it does seem incredible, I wasn't joking about the F40 performance match either, I think its like for like in a straight line, I bet that Ferrari didn't rate at 34mpg official and get 50,000 miles servicing for 1000! Ok it was wayyyyy cooler but still times have moved cars on so much.
You can get a service plan for an M3 too!!?? Ok stop it, this is playing with my mind!!

Big 40 for me next year also when I will also be due a change from the 330. I know what is top of my list now. I'll just need to get the wife something bigger to take all the kids' stuff.

I'm getting about 17mpg at the moment but that's with absolutely no motorway and always in sport/sport+

Need to plan some long journeys and see what I get...nice review!

Yup tried this and it works fine on the HUD too, M display and standard display.

Slightly out of focus iPhone pics, it was struggling in the light I think.

Don't worry I don't spend all night reading all my old threads. (Ok ok I really do). No a Bimmerpost milestone or something popped up and I read my original M4 comments.

Then I saw this one Daz

Haha, funnily enough Chris I read that post of mine on the first page and couldn't even remember writing it!

Ah how time changes ones thoughts! Thankfully I'm spending much less than £60k.

Given the mileage you're doing in your M you're probably the closest reflection of my circumstances as I'll likely be doing over 20k PA in mine.

Will give you a shout for your thoughts on this kinda mileage via PM if you don't mind.

Haha, this thread is a blast from the past, but still relevant for some of us!

A good write-up there Chris, good to read it again.

At least you are getting a slightly "different" M car this time around with 2 extra doors, the CP and all its updated software etc..... should feel like a slightly different car to before.

And I'm guessing for quite a bit less than £60K

Driving one on Wed afternoon along with a Lambo LP640

Thanks to the Mrs, she thought getting me this for my Birthday would dampen my car enthusiasm.. its like feeding coke to a druggy !!
