Does anyone know if the 2013 models without navigation comes with a hard drive or not?

I have a 328i, and my CA was surprised there was no USB connection in the glove compartment for a hard drive.

If the rules are the same as they were for the 2012 model, then no, you only get the HD with nav as it's used to store the maps.

I think cars without nav may only have 1 USB port (in the center armrest). The USB port in the glove box can't be used for a memory stick anyway, it's only for importing Music into the HD and importing/exporting profiles.

There were some cars built incorrectly without any USB ports (or bluetooth); but your CA would surely know if your car was one of those.

I'm in the clear with the Bluetooth. Been using it. Just wanted to know about the hard drive. Thanks. So I need to update software, I use USB in armrest?

Software (Bluetooth) updates are done via the armrest USB anyway, even on cars with the USB in the glove box.

When I first tried to update the software, I of course put it in the import/export glovebox USB and the iDrive updater screen would not find the update. I then tried the armrest USB and the update screen found it and I was able to update it. Strange design!
