Angel eyes / Headlight upgrade PLEASE HELP

Hi, f34 320i 2015 model m sport

My headlights aren't the angel eyes style but I really want them. I have seen them on GTs from 2014 so wondered if these are an option at dealership and I can just pick up some from breaking or online somewhere

If so - part no ?

If not do I have to retro fit or are there any other way to upgrade headlights on f34

Any info would be amazing thank you

You are safe to follow the posts covering similar upgrade on F30/F31 cars. Just search a little in Cosmetic & Lighting Modifications section here:

Your best bet is a junkyard. The F34 headlight is unique to the F34, and as it's a limited production model aftermarket options are slim to none. The price for OEM is insane.

Yeah, agree.
I had to source a replacement Icon headlight for my car due to the broken light rod - ended up getting a used one out of Cali for 30% of OEM list price. Luckily was able to source an exact match (even the same manufacturing date as my original).

savf34 Make sure you source from local UK or (other RHD countries) junk yards as your car requires headlights for RHD vehicles. There are several sellers on eBay out of UK and Thailand that might have those.
I'd go for either (these are RHD part numbers):
1. Xenon and non-adaptive. P/Nos: 63117355557 and 63117355558;
https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=63_1438
or
2. LED and non-adaptive. P/Nos: 63117470415 and 63117470416
https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=63_1780

Both options are not easy, but #1 is the easiest to retrofit into your car (vintage based, imho)

Both options will require control and other modules, unless you source headlight assemblies fully assembled.

IMPORTANT: In either case (option) you will need coding (to register new-to-the-car headlights) and wiring modification to up-convert from your base model (halogen) to either choice. There is no OEM plug-n-play solution.

Good luck

There is another way to choose: - Install the halos (angel eyes) into your car's existing headlights:

Is this a simple swap out or rewiring etc?

It would be labor intensive - you would need to take the lights off the car, remove the lenses (bake out technique), install the halos, snake the wires inside the assemblies (decide how would you want them to be powered up) and then re-seal the headlights and install back on the car. Depending how quick you are and what tooling/facilities you have, it could take a weekend (I'd be able to do this in two days or less - have done similar work on non-BMW headlights in the past) or a week to do. It is 7/10 in terms of hardness - just a very tedious process imo.

I wanted something a bit more, but I didn't want to spend a lot of time or money to get it. These LED strips, seen in the fog light bays, cost me less than $20. I wired them to the fuse for the outlet, they come on when I unlock the car, go off a few minutes after I park and lock it.

I wonder about the reliability of them for such a cheap price for the amount of work that would be required feel like a OEM conversion may be more worth while in long run .. just a thought

Have you attached in gaps on bumper or something ? Then run the wires behind bumper through

Agree. I'm always hesitant to do aftermarket stuff like this myself as I'm too lazy to go back and fix it a year/two later. But then it'd piss me off and I'd still fix it.

OEM upgrade would be my choice as well.
