UPDATE: 18x8.5 ET40 with 235/45/18 fits

I am looking to put 18x8.5 et40 square setup on my f30. Will that offset work and will a 235/45/18 fit with clearance? Im looking to do this for a winter setup and i know the outside edge of the wheel will be the same but itll be 12mm closer on the inside. Just curious if anyone has ran this setup? i know guys are running 18x8.5 et38 so i think ill be good but before i pull the trigger i wanted to doublecheck if anyone has run this offset.

The tires will fit.

The only issue you might experience would be front brake clearance with ET40. But if that occurs it can easily be solved with spacers.

I second this. They will fit, but spacers would help w/ form and function. 5 to 10mm spacers up front would be recommended. You can leave the rear as is, or use a 5mm spacer for a better look.

Running these for winter so im not too concerned with the stance. Having them slightly tucked under the fender will be better as it will not kick up road debris along the side of the car. Im going to test fit the wheels with the current tires on them (235/40/18) to see how close the front calipers are to the spokes on the wheel.

Test fit cleared. I have about 5mm of space between the strut and rim/tire. The outer edge of the front is in the same spot and the rear is out 7mm further.

The tires on it are .5" shorter currently but im going to order the 235/45/18s now.
