Boost-Cooler-Water-Methanol-Injection-Kit?
Anyone running this kit? I'm interested in seeing if the gains they claim are accurate. For under $400, they claim 30-70hp! ...?

A lot of the turbocharged and supercharged guys have been running meth injection kits for a bit. I have only heard positive reviews for the performance gains. I contacted Snow performance, and they recommend the stage 2 kit for our engines.
Snow performance has not yet had one of the BMW twin power engines in there shop yet, but similar cars have shown very good gains on stock engine setup...( they do a lot of domestic vehicles) We will see.

I was told to use stage 3 for our engine, part number 3210. Has anyone installed this kit? I'm very interested in this product.

Was reading the meth injection is actually better for the car. Runs cooler and cleans the intake and valves, but this was on the 335 N54 engine

I ran the snow performance stage 2 kit on my VW 1.8T. It worked very well with the bigger turbo setup. I had a race gas tune that bumped up boost and timing for about a 20-25hp increase. Could definitely feel the difference in that little car.
Just a note, bolting the h2o/meth kit to your car by itself won't likely give you 30-70hp, but it allows you to run higher boost or advance timing (or both) to get big hp gains. You're essentially running something similar to 110+ octane (50/50 mixture). You will need a nice software tune to get the most out of it. |

If you're running a JB4 try this from Burger tuning:
http://burgertuning.com/meth.html The good thing with this route is your JB4 will work with the FSB and you can tune or just use the base map much easier. I ran the windshield meth kit on my N54, and when the meth came on it hit like a hammer. I never dyno'd but I had a noticeable increase from JB4 map 1 to the JB4 with the meth. I prefer the kit that uses your windshield washer fluid as it simplifies running lines through your car or placing a small tank somewhere under the hood. |

I am thinking either using 1 of the 2 bungs on the ER charge pipe, or cutting the wastegate? tubing and putting a tee fitting there. |
