Hartge N55 F30 335i Engine Software Tune Yields +56HP / +59TQ for F30, F10, F25
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com HP gain = 56 hp Trq gain = 59 ft-lbs The Hartge 'Engine Conversion' is a bespoke tuning module that plugs in ahead of the engine computer on the wiring harness. It has factory-style plugs to connect in-line with the water temp sensor, fuel rail pressure, turbo boost pressure sensors, turbo wastegate valve, intake camshaft sensor, 12V power and ground. The module then sends a modified signal to the engine computer allowing it to increase boost by varying amounts depending on load, engine speed, and other factors. All of the factory safeguards remain in place, including overload protection, warm-up protocols, and the engine tuning is unchanged below 70% throttle to preserve all factory driveability and emissions certification*. One of the key advantages of this type of 'piggyback' system is that it is unaffected by factory BMW updates and service. If BMW updates the computer software to fix any small bugs or issues, the Hartge performance upgrade is not lost or overwritten. This is key on a new model like the F30 because BMW is constantly releasing small software updates. All of the factory diagnostics and service access is retained. This item fits the following BMWs: 2012+ F30 BMW 335i - Sedan 2011+ F10 BMw 535i 535i xDrive 2011+ F25 BMW X3 xDrive35i VIA http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-16...55-engine.aspx |

Looks promising, I like all the safeguards they have built into it. Only time will tell though...

You might wait for the BMW PPK, rumored to be out by the end of this year. The PPK in my car gives more torque in the driving range from 1500 to 4500 RPM, no questions on the warranty and no problems.

^^ what is the expected HP increase with the PPK? In the past the gains are only up to 335is specs which is only 320hp.
Turner is willing to do $1500 for the Hartge tune when i emailed them. Still a lot of money for a piggyback system but looks like the only option at this point. You can NOT compare JB to Hartge. Hartge is in a completely different league as a Bmw tuner in Europe Alan

My thinking is if you look at JB4 N55 stage 1 tuning, it is not getting much more tq out of the N55 so I suspect there is not much room to work with or wait until someone else with Flash to see if there is room to be extracted. |

For anyone interested, look into the Dinan stage 2 upgrade for the n55. It bumps power to 355hp and torque to 401 lb-ft.... There will eventually be a stage 3 as they mentioned that on their site. The stage two is like $2g's so a bit pricey, but they will match your warranty and BMW will acknowledge this tune and will still service your car hassle free.... Just saying.

Aren't there cooling issues with the dinan? I can attest that the 335i m-sport with the ppk, pe is no where close to the power of the is even though they match up on paper. I would mos def do ic upgrade. I would just wait it out or do turbo upgrade.

for $1500 they are out side the game unless you are 10 years old and want it NOW.
