I've been running map 7 for a few weeks now.. All I gotta say is its a beast. I've been filling up 70/30 e85 and everyone that tries getting in a little race just goes home with frown lol. My turbo is so much louder because of my downpipe, exhaust + map 7. Took my friends tuned m5 to about 90mph till he came up

Even a Camry can "take" a Z06 with enough of a jump and a driver caught off guard until about 80-90 MPH. OP doesn't actually think his car is faster than a 127+ MPH car. But yes, these cars in Map 7 wake up. The 400 RWHP range is nice...fun enough for a DD and easily exploitable every day, but not enough to get you in any trouble.

The real question is pneumatic or ewg? Or do I assume it's pneumatic? That's what i was running in my e92 and it was amazing. Hope i can with this car but the ewg is what seems to be holding it back.

Holding it back? You do know that N55s with the electronic wastegate can make significantly more power than the early pneumatic ones...right?

I believe him .. I race my good friends m6 GC when I was fbo on map 5 on E25 mix on stock turbo..and he didn't pass me till 100mph we did like 10 pulls with same results .. He's staying door to door with me till 90-100mph and then after that he start to walking me..120+ that's when they pull hard .. So you don't have to catch anybody of guard .. Remember we have lots of torq in lighter cars and shorter gears ... Down low we have chance till 90/100mph but top end hell no .. Ps.. Just realized he wrote tuned M5 ouch .. In that case he probably did caught him of guard lol.. Stock yes but tuned I don't think so ..

Lol I didn't jump, I obviously know at higher speeds my car will lose. My family owns many supercars at the 600+ hp range. I may be in high school but I know my stuff bud.

Nope, ECU tuning group m5 we were both ready and didn't catch anyone off guard.

EWG can't handle e85 like pneumatic can…do you even jb4? You go fill your tank with ~7 gallons of e85 rest 93 and try to run map 7 and tell me how it goes please. Thats what i was doing on the e92 and it was amazing. I was asking/stating if that was possible with the EWG cars. Your response didn't address that topic at all. Run along now be miserable somewhere else

Care to show me how many pneumatic WG cars have dynoed at 380+ WHP? I can think of 7 or 8 on this forum alone with some above 400 WHP on just the basic bolt-ons (intake, downpipe), Map 5/7 and E30. That's the setup I run daily and it has been flawless.

There was an initial hold back due to the lack of EWG control not allowing for much more than 12-13 PSI. That was 8 months ago. Fueling limitations with ethanol are a product of the stock fuel system not being able to keep up with the additional flow at elevated boost/power levels because of the decreased efficiency of E85, not the wastegate itself. Because EWG cars can hold more boost to redline than PWG, the fueling limitation becomes more apparent.

But now you know.

That's why I got pure stage 1 ) now I can hold and make even more boost to redline then Ewg n55 ) and all under $800 ( group buy). Ps.. Theirs quite few f30s non ewg that dyno at 380s fbo e85 .. And with pure turbo their as high as 440whp on race gas and meth ... But usually around 420whp ..fbo e85

How are you liking the pure stg1?

Im debating it as my next mod or a true hybrid. car put down 400whp on stock turbo already, so I'm questioning if ill really be happy with the pure.

Ewg cars has preaty good stock turbo .. I dunno if it really worth on Ewg car but on non Ewg we gain as much as 60whp+ in high rpms so for us it's worth .. For you I'm not sure even tho terry got 440whp out of ewg 435i ..
