Somebody scored a deal!!!

not quite ready to pull the trigger on one myself right now...trying to convince wifey we need a 4th car

anyways, I check autotrader and other sites daily looking for a slightly used f32
alpine white with red int. and of course M-sport pkg.

Saw a 2014 white/red 6MT M-sport with clean car fax two owner car with less then 40,000 miles iirc at a Dodge dealership in Fremont Ca, for like $21,999

If this thing was closer to home I would have just told wifey I can't pass it up and teach her how to drive a stick shift on the way to the dealership

needless to say it lasted ONE day.

It's gone

somebody scored!!!

Sounds almost too good to be true.. All the 2014 f32 m-sport w/high 30k miles were still in the ~$30k range when I was shopping around a few months ago. But if it was a legit sale then someone definitely got a sweet deal

If it's front United Imports, they have very cheap cars but they're typically "clean title" with possible accidents. Not big enough for a salvaged title but an accident is an accident.

It was the Dodge/Chrysler dealership.... had a clean CARFAX

I’ve noticed the best deals are always from those type of dealerships that just want to move trade ins and don’t realize what they have. Even had the M sport brakes.

Not surprised it only lasted one day.

Ahh right. You wrote that. Haha Totally missed that. I got my 335 for a pretty good deal too. It was from a VW dealership. Got it for a steal. Not as good of a deal as that 4 though.

Definitely sounds shady IMHO. As someone already mentioned above, that's definitely too good to be true. I recently checked the market and the best I'm seeing with around 30K~ miles is in the 30s.

Yea that seems low. I bought my 2014 435i xDrive in April 2017, silver/blk, BMW dealership, certified car, M sport with M brakes, M suspension, Nav, HUD, PDC. 38k miles, paid $32k. Same dealer sold the car originally for $63K!

It's very rare that dealers today don't know what they have in way of a trade. Most if not all have appraisal software where they can just scan a VIN with their phone and get every evaluation book and actual live vehicle listings with price on the web. Can't imagine that car was let go for that price.

This was a 428 with around 40k miles... Not certified at a Dodge/Chrysler dealership in Northern California ...the car fax was clean.

Obviously it was priced too low as it only lasted one day on autotrader.com

Just wish it would have been in Southern California for me to check it out.

There is another one in Scotsdale right now silver/black M-sport with @40k for $23,000 clean car fax/ auto check at a Benz/Bmw dealership..... So the price wasn't that far off from some of the other good deals right now, it was just the best one I've seen by far....then again, it was just pretty pictures, never got to see it in person, so maybe it had some issues, but it looked clean af.

Clean Carfax doesn't mean shit. Don't know why people rely on them. They only have info if it is reported, which not all do. One of my old cars I got into an accident that caused over $3,000 worth of damage. It had a clean Carfax. ;-)

This car was likely damaged in some way. That doesn't mean it isn't still a great deal. If everything was fixed properly, then the odds of something going wrong are slim. So great for whoever picked it up.

Obviously they aren't a perfect record of a car, but at least they can tell if a car title is clean, branded, rebuilt, salvage title etc. and show owner and service records and mileage updates...also if car is sold by dealer or auction.

The car had a clean title with no accidents reported, so I'm pretty sure it wasn't in a major accident... less then a couple thousand dollar damage to a bumper maybe , but cars like this are too expensive to fix without using insurance ...so at least a car fax is some sort of protection. I think AutoCheck is better personally.

Prices are all over the board right now on these cars, usually the CPO's with M sport pkg start about $26k , but they can be had from non BMW dealerships as low as $23k , so the price wasn't outrageous, it was just a great deal for that color combo and being a 6MT
