2017-3 Map Update

They're too busy adding roads around my way to do your motorways and river crossings!

A roundabout for a new housing estate that appeared around Easter time on one of the local single lane (unclassified) country roads is on the 2017-2 NBT update which surprised me.

I have free USB map downloads and have 2017-1. If I wanted to install 2017-3, do I have to install 2017-2 first or can I go straight to 2017-3. (Does it completely replace it or adds to it)

I would assume you can install 2017-3. I would imagine it contains all the updates from the previous versions.

You can always install the latest version, you don't have to do it incrementally.

How does this work guys. Ive got the new NBT Evo. Do you get a message on connecteddrive messages? Is there a way of checking what version you are on? As i cant tell

On the map screen move controller to the right and then select software version.

Ive got under version road map evo and a older version but then auto update below it that says GB IE 2017-3.

The over the air update only does a small region - you can configure which one on the connected drive website. For most people who don't go abroad there is little point doing any other update.

That's not a presumption you can make. I have the NEXT maps but not Evo. The latest NEXT maps are 2017-2, Evo is 2017-3. Whether the actual mapping data differs I don't know.

NEXT is for NBT (Next Big Thing), Evo is the latest iteration of that with OTA updates, Route is for business nav. Prior to that it was CBC/CCC

Yes I have pro nav, thanks for the heads up. I've got my code I just need to find the files and a guide how to enter the code etc. and then upload.

It's simple if you already have the code. Copy the data to a 64Gb memory stick and plug it in. Enter code when prompted. Done.

So I downloaded the linked file but it just downloaded a 20gig torrent file. What am I doing wrong?

You need to unpack the torrent file, there should be a piece of software with the torrent file to do this if you look on google or youtube you will see how its done. Your torrent file will be converted into the files you need to update the nav. Also have a look in the coding section there is a guide on updating the nav that covers the torrent files.
