Has anyone out there hit a pothole hard enough that it messed up their suspension? Need advice from you guys. Nailed this pothole the other day and had a complete blowout on the stock run flat. Obviously the stealership lied to me and claimed I had 2k in damages including the strut (I know this is false). I have been told by a mechanic I know that the F30 suspension is designed so that the strut slips through the knuckle in situations when you hit a pothole hard enough to prevent body damage. Can anyone verify this or share their experiences? The car is noticeably leaning to one side (yes I know the tire is flat) but it does appear as if the strut did drop.

Yes, I did spin out once and hit the curb hard, and my coilovers slipped through the knuckle, so I had to obviously tow it to the Indy and raise it up again. and that was all.
except for the bent sway bar link, fixed it by hammering it while heated (red-hot).
