Hi Shawn, I will as Patryk the same question and lets see what he advises, as for the Activation i am using an emulator from them so everything is activated through that i presume. They upgraded the NBT firmware last night , which was very nerve racking but all went well and only media list was not yet working as of last night but this morning when i started the car the Nav is greyed out and Connected Apps and voice are not working but i presume that will be sorted out when we next code .

I am guessing they deactivated the Activation Module to perform the NBT flash, and until they reactive it, the Nav FSC Codes will stay Rejected. I think so long as their Activation module is working, you cannot Flash / Code NBT. You need to ask them about this and be aware if this is a limitation of their Activation Module or not. If it is, you need to also understand how best to bypass it if you need to code your Head Unit in the future, else you are married to them anytime you need to do something.

Hi Shawn, Spoke to Patryk regarding the removal of the NBT when the car goes in for service and he said the NBT only needs to be removed if the dealer needs to update the software on the car , but for normal servicing and diagnostics there will be no problems.Still need to ask him regarding the coding restrictions with their emulator.

Yes, I know it has to come out for Dealer Programming, which is why it is important you can flash and code it yourself in the future.

Does anyone know the part number to the CIC CID cable? Mine is broken and I need a new one as I cannot reinstall my CIC anymore.
Is this the correct part? http://www.etk.cc/bmw/EN/parts/info/...D/61119228267/

Hi guys, I'm retrofittin NBT also. Yesterday i put FSC codes to enable BMW apps, but i can't connect.
I see BMW apps in menu but NBT always tell me to open app on device. Which USB port i need to connect behind NBT to use APPS, cury or beige? I noticed that in your NBT with 6NR working u can see snap-in icon in external devices list, but i see USB icon... Any helps is appreciated! |

Did you add 6NS to your FA and VO code HU_NBT? That will give you the option for the snap in adapter.

Hi all,
There was post by Vithy a while back in regards to connecting the microphone +ve and -ve to pins 17 and 22 on the NBT. If I wanted to hook up the passenger side microphone, does anyone know what pins on the NBT needs connecting. |

Thanks.
Just a few more questions: 1. Is there a specific type of wire is required? I've got the 3 pin male connector so I need now the wires. 2. I can see the there is black and white wire come from the microphone, can you tell me which one is +ve and -ve? There is also a yellow wire from the 3 pin male connection, do you know what it is for? |
