What SCCA class is 340xi?
Hi
I’ve downloadwd and read the SCCA autocross manual and they do not specify which category the 340 is in. I’d guess B or C street. Anyone know which class they get put in? |

F Street for sure. Car must be totally stock with tires above 200 treadwear. With the right tires it'll be very competitive.

Wow, F-street?! Will it matter that I have track handling package (Michelin pilot, updated brakes, suspension, all stock from factory)?

The 340 will be competitive. If you want that extra performance boost that keeps your in the stock class get a square set of 8.5 to 9" wheels with some 245x40x18 Bridgestone RE-71R's. Then you will truly be a threat in the PAX. Last edited by ClevelandBeemer; 03-12-2018 at 05:39 PM.. |

That said there's some outliers in most of those classes. Also there's multiple classes there that can a skilled driver can beat faster classes in the PAX and overall. In my experience most stock Audi's understeer badly in these events. Makes it difficult to compete vs a more balanced car. That said no S4 has beat me in my 335i. Again. Not a universal truth though. |
