I am intrigued...
I would like to see the installation instructions, and see what the kit looks like on the F30. I assume the scoops mount behind the grill? Any real world numbers? With better air flow and a clear shot with the air scoops I wonder if it will improve 1/4 mile Times on the top end?

I did have a Pipercross filter for the standard airbox, not this intake+filter combination, and by measuring mass air flow with OBD2 it was even more restrictive than the original filter in my F32.
So now I'm using the original part again. Maybe this intake system is better, but I would not recommend a Pipercross exchange filter. |

That filter was on sale on there site for 24.99 or 29.99 a couple weeks ago. I havent used the pipercross for the f30 platform but i used in the the N/A n52 motor with the OEM euro box setup, I honestly couldnt tell a difference between a new pipercross foam and the dirty oem cone paper filter that it came with. I truly believe for this n20 platform the stock paper filter is fine, its cheap, just put a new one in every oil change if u want. I spend 60$ and ordered an afe dry for the f30, the throttle input seemed to suck, it was laggy and the car seemed to almost surge a little, i used it for 2 days and took it out and replaced for a stock paper. Stock paper felt better.

I picked one up today from x-ph. The insert maintenance instructions refer to 3 different types. Dry, Oiled, and Race. Pretty sure this is the oiled version as others have pointed out.
Supposed to buy a cleaning kit and service every 20k or 1k for the race version. Anyhow, here is a pic of the instructions. I'll let y'all know how it works out.
