Wait till you get 6k on the RFTs. I have the S04s very happy with them.

People seem to hate on the run flats, but mine came with Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 run flats and no major complaints so far.

Maybe so but the stock BMW RFT are bad.

While I didn't do all the fun twists and turns on my way home to Raleigh from the PDC, I was pleasantly surprised that the trip computer claimed that I got 37.8 mpg for the trip, a little over 200 miles. It was almost entirely spent on I85 and I40 between 70 and 80 mph (in comfort, no cruise control).

Don't get used to it!

My trip computer used to tell me that I could get 450 miles to the tank right after filling and I'm lucky if it goes to 300-325 now. It knows I'm addicted to boost.

Yeah I don't figure on being as gentle or being in comfort as much in about 950 miles or so

8-speed auto or 6MT? I'm dithering between 340i M Sport and M3 (see http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1285594 ). One of the things I really like about the M3 is the DCT. I'm curious how the 8-speed auto here compares. I've had posters weigh in on 'no comparison' and 'ZF8 is awesome'). Love to hear from some 340i owners...

The DCT is better but by a small margin. The ZF is more than good enough that I don't miss my MT (especially during my commute!)

If you're not planning on tracking and want to fully load-out your car (assuming comparing at equal price points), 340. The DCT isn't that much better than the ZF8, which is incredibly buttery smooth.
