i have no problem with the start stop but was told by the dealer they would have to look at the starter motor during major service at 90k km. They said nothing to be alarmed about so just seeing how it goes

Any updates or suggestions on the 2013 rear DRL LED? Would be super helpful!

It is regarding the activation of the rear LED tails as DRLs.

According to the cheat sheet:

REM_01 3062 LceLampMapping1 MAPPING_TAGFAHRL_H_L_OUTPUT
new value: sl_l
default value: off
function: Turns left side tail light (only outside part) on with DLR

REM_01 3062 LceLampMapping1 MAPPING_TAGFAHRL_H_R_OUTPUT
new value: ls_r
default value: off
function: Turns right side tail light (only outside part) on with DLR

REM_01 3063 LceLampMapping2 MAPPING_UNIVERSAL_6_OUTPUT
new value: sl_2_l
default value: off
function: Turns left side tail light (only inside part) on with DLR

REM_01 3063 LceLampMapping2 MAPPING_UNIVERSAL_7_OUTPUT
new value: sl_2_r
default value: off
function: Turns right side tail light (only inside part) on with DLR

The outside lamp functions work correctly:

REM_01 3062 LceLampMapping1 MAPPING_TAGFAHRL_H_L_OUTPUT sl_l
REM_01 3062 LceLampMapping1 MAPPING_TAGFAHRL_H_R_OUTPUT ls_r

But the inside lamp functions do not activate the inside LED bars as DRLs. They work fine when the parking lamps and/or headlights are on, but not as DRLs.

REM_01 3063 LceLampMapping2 MAPPING_UNIVERSAL_6_OUTPUT sl_2_l
REM_01 3063 LceLampMapping2 MAPPING_UNIVERSAL_7_OUTPUT sl_2_r

^ does nothing.

I also tried:

REM_01 3063 LceLampMapping2 MAPPING_UNIVERSAL_2_OUTPUT
REM_01 3063 LceLampMapping2 MAPPING_UNIVERSAL_3_OUTPUT

&

REM_01 3062 LceLampMapping1 MAPPING_TAGFAHRL_H2_L_OUTPUT
REM_01 3062 LceLampMapping1 MAPPING_TAGFAHRL_H2_R_OUTPUT

^ also didnt change anything

Any advice?

I have compared .ncd files, before and after coding, and while I can easily identify the file differences, it is meaningless in .ncd format. What is needed is a comparison tool that can identify the differences, and convert the .ncd data from Motorola S-record format back into its plain text description as seen in the FDL Editor.
I did some tests today. I reverted all my changes to original state (I saved ncds). After CodeFDL I read out again all CAFDs. The "signature" was original again. Therefore I assume that it is not a signature (something based on EST) but it is rather a checksum of the data. Because it was 100% identical again after reverting.

@shawn: is e-sys 3.18.4 still ok for coding or is for most recent cars like f30 of June 2012 a newer version recommended?

E-Sys 3.18.4 is fine. No issues at all with the latest PSdZData.

OMG. I did quite some debugging today and it seems I found the root cause why I did not get RTTI and BMW Online.

As my OBD2 cable is quite tightly plugged in and I always fear I ruin the plug when removing, I have kept the cable inside all the time. And RTTI and BMW Online did *not* work all the time. Today I peeled the plug out, which was quite some effort But then RTTI and BMW Online immediately returned.

Is the OBD2 plug "active" in some way that the car behaves differently even if there is no computer connected??

You have been driving around with your ENET cable connected?

If my car is built 09/12 (F31), then which files/versions will I need for coding? If I understand correctly then E-Sys 3.18.4 is one part and then there some PSdZData files with different versions and older versions do not work with newly built cars?

If you have to download one of them no matter what, then always go with the latest version, in this case 47.5.

The minimum release level you need though is equal to the level your car was last programmed with. That, or anything higher will work. So far, every PSdZData release thus far, including 47.5 works fine with E-Sys 3.18.4.

To know what is on you car isn't straight forward. You have to go to the VCM module, read your current I-Step, and then cross reference your I-Step over to an ISTA/P version.
