ASS & Dash cam

I'm buying a mini 0803 dashcam and planning to use the under glove box power socket.

Does anyone know if the dashcam shuts off when the engine is off (by ASS) and reactivates when the engine starts again?

I know the power socket shuts off after 8 minutes or so after the doors are locked. I would like to know if ASS has different behavior. I know my phone doesn't charge when the engine is off from ASS.

Main reason is that I would like the dashcam to stay on when I'm stopping for red light or parking for a short time.

I don't think it should impact the dashcam. No other features on the car are disengaged when ASS is on.

just tested with friend's cam. it appeared its still charging when ass is on. 😝
