A trunk sub, not so much. IB subs in a rear deck for bottom end ? Sure thing. Underseats ? Absolutely.

Anything *can* be Plug&Play if ordered that way, we have done more than a few things like this.

I wouldn't think the ASD on the F3x is as loud as the F8x. If it bothers you, it can be easily coded off. It took me 5min to code it off (with laptop boot up time, changed 1 line of code).

Each model equipped with ASD has a different sound file within the ASD, but still the ASD output volume will be affected by aftermarket amps.

I was jamming to Axel Rudi Pell - Hallelujah this morning at 75% volume. Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit, awesome drums. The new setup just blows me away, the sound is so crisp and the bass kicks tight. Every single instrument can be heard with clarity and precision. The cabin is drowned with undistorted music, even at 95% volume. It is much better than the OEM HK setup in my 6GC.
I can see the subs needing the upgrade for someone who listens to more Hip-Hop (I'll play around with the DSP to see if that can be changed). With the RCA output on the amp (photo), adding aftermarket subs is a breeze. For my broad music choice, the Bimmertech amp is solid with just BavSound or aftermarket speakers upgrade.

Hi all:
I'm a long time lurker but first time poster to this forum and perhaps this question deserves it's own thread but will start here: I noticed on this thread and on the Bimmertech website that a "basic tuning" profile is available for the OEM and Bavsound speakers. I'm curious how "basic" that tuning is? Will it require significant additional tuning per car? Or perhaps an experienced tuner created those profiles and only a little or no tuning will be required? Thanks! Drew |

The basic tuning is to get most customers going without any initial settings. Only you as a customer will determine if additional tuning is required to your taste. There is no magical tuning that satisfies all customers, otherwise we would not have OEM Harman Kardon users asking for this device.
That is the whole point of a fully adjustable DSP laptop interface. Quote:

Why would anyone want a "standard" PP82?

Just to be fair, not many people pay retail on this forum either. I think it's very shady for you to sabotage Bimmer-Tech's quality/reputation and thread jacking my review. I would never do business with you even if you're half the price. :

I'm a bit confused about the whole harness point.
Do you just plug in the cables into the existing OEM adapter that used to be connected to the OEM amp or did you have to remove the head unit and run the harness to the trunk??? Please enlighten me. |

This is the HiFi PnP version of the PP82DSP, replacing completely the OEM HiFi amp in the trunk.
Please take a close look at the photos at the first post. |

Thanks for the response and the ability to fully adjust all parameters is a key benefit to me over the MS-8.
My order has been placed! Quote:
