BMW F31 wagon ACS springs?
sadly, it looks like Dinan does not support the F31. (lame)... Can anyone in the states speak on the ACS springs on F31 and how the ride is? I had coilovers on my last car and am over harsh rides.

Im running 18" wheels, the wheel gaps are significantly reduced. The ride is great, not as harsh as koni coils i had on my previous gti, but a lil bouncy. I'll be replacing the shocks with blisteins later on and that should fix the problem. |

I run AC Schnitzer springs on my sDrive F31 with M Sport suspension and original 437M 19" wheels (non RFTs).
I had the springs fitted from the start of my car's life, so TBH I don't have opinion if they improved the handling, but I believe they do, judging by other member's comments about them. I also find the ride quality pretty nice, especially after ditching the RFTs... One random photo...

yea Bill your car is an inspiration!
Trying to get a feel for how harsh the ride is on acs springs. Being 'not as harsh as koni coilovers' is of no consolation lol. |

I think the wagon and sedans use different stock part numbers. Dinan definitely doesn't recommend the F30 springs on the wagon.
I have been looking at the ACS springs for my car as well but was also looking to see if a better set of shocks/struts would help as well. A "while they're in there" kind of thing. Did any of you that have gotten ACS springs change your shocks/struts? Comments? Recommendations? Thanks! |

bit of a mini thread resurrection but I have just finished installing the ACS sports suspension upgrade. This is the complete kit springs and struts form ACS.
previously I had ACS springs on stock M-Sport passive dampers I have to say very impressed so far. very complaint, not stiff at all. All the bounce has gone and definitely improved handling with and more balanced and communicative feel. Quote:

Yeah. Unfortunately, finding struts and shocks to match an LCI XDrive wagon has been frustrating. I do know that I can use the stock but I was hoping to upgrade to Bilstein B6 or something similar.
What I don't know is if it really matters to get "matched" springs and shocks when dealing with such a moderate drop difference from stock. Thanks for the info all. |

Mostly, I'm trying to fix the sponginess that BMW built in to fix the harshness of the run flats (which I've fixed with non-run flats). I'm not trying to turn it into an M3 wagon but there's a happy medium. Kind of "sport setting" on the adjustable suspension feel. Maybe just start with ACS springs and stock dampers to see where that goes. Still researching this for a mid to late spring install. |
