I'm not sure about the F30, but the E92 does not. You have to change the coding in order to enable this feature.

I wouldn't dare to do that.

You can change some of the coding options in your BMW with the NCSExpert software and a D-CAN cable. However, I would suggest that you have some background/familiarity with programming before undertaking this task.

it's an option that you order with the car, it's like rear seat folding or auto dimming mirrors, I thought I had that as a standard when I bought the car but unfortunately it's not the case.

What option is that? I don't recall seeing an option like that...

either way, I'm supposed to have all available options on my Lux Line and, when it rains, my roof doesn't close automatically either.

Note: Many PM me for links to the software needed to code. Please note that I do not have download links to this software. Your best bet is using the search function in the coding thread

We need to find out if this is possible to code! I would love to park my car in summer with the roof tilted and then when it starts to rain roof closes that would be sooo cool

Maybe you could code it, but it seems unlikely. After all, it would have to work while the car is parked. After a few minutes, the parked car goes into a "power off" state. The various electrical circuits, like the one that monitors the windshield for raindrops, are not energized. And if they were, there would be battery drain.

Never heard of this option or capability. Is there actually any car that does this?

I had an E92 before and the manual definitely indicated that but it was optional and of course I. didn't have coz I didn't know it's optional, I even drove one day through the rain to see if it would close and it didn't. it's irritating a bit that you have to memorize every option you want with bmw, it's like going grocery shopping and making a list so u won't forget.
