I finally got around to putting the module where it belongs... On the bottom of the car near the diff.

BTW :

Its possible to do this without lifting the car. I did it without lifting the car. It took way longer then it would have had I lifted the vehicle but I was able to get the module attached where it belongs, and the wire routed in a way where its not going to hit anything moving (eg: the rear axle).

Also, I tapped into where I had it setup before. I drive controller. Same with voltage, took it from there too. Its possible to route the cable under the rear seat, under the small bit of carpet between the rear seats (go in the middle, thats the easiest way) and through the center tunnle up to the idrive controller.

After moving the module where it belongs, and resetting the TPMS... The wheel positions are now of course correct. Before when I had the module just sitting under the idrive controller, the rears would show on the front and the fronts on the rear.

Not no more.

Thanks for all those who helped make this happened. I find this retrofit quite useful. Had a trip a few weeks ago with 2 guests in the rear and a trunk full of luggage. I run 2.5bar up front and 2.6 in the rear... With the guests and all the luggage... 2.9 and 3.0. Thanks to this retrofit I knew to get out and let some air out of the tires

Another successful RDC conversion on a 2016 F31.

Bought new Sensors off ebay from slovakia around $200AUD, $80 to get sensors fitted to wheels.

2 hours playing to code correctly, then re-enter all my existing codings and its all working.

Only difference I can see is my Display is 2 dimensional aerial view, rather than the 3D view i've seen in others threads. I only get one option, display and reset in iDrive, not the second one showing all in 3D glory.

Which modules did you have to VO code?

Which sensors did you buy? For my 340i I note there is new part number from march 2017 ending in 890. The old one ended in 209.

The newer sensor seems to be cheaper on eBay and I'm looking to pull the trigger soon if this newer part is ok.

Works right off the bat (Scott Smith style). Had to drive for 2KM though. I coded manually, since VO Coding would delete many previous codings.

Keep in mind after coding to delete fault codes generated during coding, since the reset of ICM records a fault in many modules.
What FDL coding did you do as I would like to keep my previous coding as well. Thanks

Edit - Never mind found it on page 2!

I bought these: - http://www.ebay.com/itm/252904024768

I also used either realoem.com or www.genuinenewparts.com
to lookup and verify part numbers before searching

I could not see any difference, i think i left it this way.

All i can say is that it definitely worked as the system detected a mild pressure drop and threw a warning a few weeks after the install, due to a nail in my tyre.

Had mine installed today and initially it did not work.

I went through the coding and in the dsc module I changed c funktion rdc to aktiv instead of nicht aktiv which is what is posted in this thread.

Happy to report all works now! I used the latest tpms with part number ending in 890.

I figured out that 2nd one (fort...)

When set to active and you do a tpms reset there is now a progress in % 0-100 of when the reset is done.

For coding you can VO code "2VB" in FEM, ICM, HU_NBT, Kombi and DSC.
Or here the manually codings:

FEM
RC_RDC_ENABLE = aktiv

ICMQL
IcmKod_B_S2VBA = verbaut

DSC
C_Funktion_RDCi_l = nicht_aktiv
C_Funktion_RPA_e = nicht_aktiv
C_RPA_Extra = nicht_aktiv

HU_NBT
RDC = aktiv
RDC_DRUCK_TEMP = aktiv
RDC_FORTSCHRITTSANZEIGE = nicht_aktiv
REIFENUEBERWACHUNG_RDC_RPA = rdc
RPA = nicht_aktiv

KOMBI
ST_TYR_RDC_ALIVE = aktiv
ST_TYR_RDC_TIMEOUT = aktiv
KOMBI DSC_MIT_RPA = ohne_RPA

Hi Everyone I’m desperate to get rdc tpms to work, I’ve added the module and sensors in the wheels and coded as above using BimmerCode apart from FEM as I can’t see it in my F06 GC I realize this not the same model forum but the same topic. It’s a Europe spec car my 14 with rpa all I get is rdc failure message I wired the model as per TIS k_can to reverse camer video module. Parts used are are

Module 36106881474
Sensors are 36106856227

What am I missing?? Please help

Side note I reversed the k_can wires and got pressure reading then rdc failure showed up rechecked all wiring was correct so I switched them back.

Hello Guys...

I have an 18 F22... how do I know if I only need the sensors or the module as well?

Thanks!

An 2018 F22 should have this as standard.
Or what do you see in your iDrive under vehicle-info and vehicle status?

Not standard on mine and have rubber valves, I see only option to reset tyre pressure thats it...

If your car is a MY18 then it's likely you only need the sensors.

the first line after DSC ecu should be "aktiv"

If you see DSC (100?) in ESYS then it's likely you don't need the control module due to newer cars having the control module now incorporated into the DSC unit.

However, worse case scenario if it's still needed it should be easy to buy and not too expensive. Seems like a few members have done the install so might be able to help you there if it's needed.

My DSC shows DSC_25 in E-SYS and it works. The DSC Model itself is MK100, and not really sure how to know that.

Hello Guys...

I am looking at going forward with this... Install on a 18 M240i

Sensors I am looking for are 36106856209 that are supposed to work with models after 2014.

So installing this sensors + coding should work right?

Is there someone here that could help me with the coding part for some cash?

Thanks!

Hello everyone. I notice that in this thread you are getting fabulous things with the rdc. I have a problem but my rdc has stopped working after installing the reversing camera and the kombi 6wb. At the same time, the door remote control has stopped working. I have to press very close to the car to make it work. My car is a cabriolet F33 of July 2014, and it has a receiver antenna, so I suppose that the ecu ddc is integrated into the dsc.
The error in ista says: missing message emitter rdc in receiver icm.
Since the failure of the rdc and the remote control has been simultaneous, it is clear that the rdc sender is the culprit. But it's fine because I exchanged it with another one and it still did not work. The following steps have been:
Update NBT, KOMBI, ICM and TRSVC, but everything remains the same.
I have left to think that the problem is in FEM and DSC that coding can be solved or it would have to be updated.
If someone can help me, I'll thank you very much. I am very lost and tired of seeing the failure notice in the kombi.
Thank you very much.
