Called Parts department. It's not in yet. He said lots of people are getting confused by the sales people calling the exhaust and grills the PPK. This is coming from one of the largest dealers in California. They haven't gotten word on timeframe of arrival.

So I finally got some good enough. The ppk tune is at BMW distribution center but only for cars made after 11/12. no price or eta on shipping. In addition, cars made before 11/12 ppk tune have not hit us bmw distribution center yet.

Those would be the ones that require the ECU module. After 11/12 builds it's just software and stickers so I guess it sorta makes sense.

Well my car is in service and I've been working w/ my parts guy for months now. He emailed me on Friday in regards to the MPPK (Tune) and he said the MPPK for my car isn't available because I need the new DME whereas the newer build dates don't need DME as you already wrote. He also said the MPPK did release just without a official price or ETA on shipping. Also, the DME isn't released at all.

Here are the part #s:

Non-DME / Just flash / Builds after 11/12 - 11122334336
DME / Builds before 11/12 - 11122294611

Hope this helps everyone.

Someone needs to get this installed and write a thorough review. Obviously, I would do it but I need a new DME and that isn't out yet.

I just spoke to my parts guy and had to give him the number... he didn't even have it yet! Looks like it's live... ~$1,800... from the sounds of it, looks like there's "leeway" in terms of pricing, but the officially quoted figure he had was $1,804... not sure what that includes. Meh, ordered it anyway.

yup, emailed my SA, she said PUMA re: my VIN/build, so I have to sit by and wait

The problems with being a Jan 2012 build date...sigh.

I guess let me know how it shakes out gentlemen...

I don't think the tune will be $1,800. He is in Canada so maybe there is a price difference.

I know for a fact the DME needed MPPK tune isn't out because if it was I would have it. My car is in service so yeah.

I'm wondering if Brandon of EAS is right about it being just for M-Sport specific cars due to the upgrades it has from factory? I mean he probably has much better sources than we do.

The part is listed on getbmwparts.com. I think they are a BMW dealer. Search power kit and scroll down for the F30 PPK. MSRP is $1250, they are selling it for $935 + $100 for cars that need the new DME.

dealer still maintains to me that it's on any 335i, so unless there's a radical change...I don't understand if getbmwparts.com can "add" a DME for $100, why my dealer can't do it...makes no sense. if I order it now and take it to dealer to install, they won't then?

That's what everything originally pointed to until last week or so when people were saying it was Msport only.

I just got a JB4, mostly because I bought into the msport only idea. That and it's a ton cheaper... I'd like to compare the two to see what the gain differences are.

I emailed getbmwparts and they confirmed that it is available on all f30 335i and m sport is not required. It will take a few weeks to ship the new dme from Germany.
