European Delivery Lease Calculator and my first BMW!

Hi All,

I have been lurking here forever and have finally decided I want to go through with a European Delivery Lease of a 335i M-Sport with 15k miles/year & 39mo terms.

Can someone validate my methodology/calculations here? I am happy to make this spreadsheet available to anyone, but want to make sure it's correct before posting a link.

I thought it was an automatic requirement for ED. Thanks for clarifying.

i dunno that seems a little high, plug those numbers into bmwconfig.com and see what you come up with. i cant beleive youd have a $574/mo payment on an ED and max MSD's ... somethin seems wack, especially w a sale price of 43...

Although right off the bat im not sure about the 39mo/15k per yr residual or MF. So maybe thats why it looks high to me.

If you do the same deal w 36mo and dont even add MSDs w tax your payment is around $485 according to bmwconfig.

MF = .0016 Res = 62 and all your other figures the same. so like i said, i think sometings wrong

It is a requirement for ED. That's how BMWFS pay for your 2nd payment while the car is in transit.

O.o
You calculated your depreciation incorrectly. It is not US MSPRP-RESIDUAL. It is Net Cap Cost - Residual.

Your base payment is actually $384.19

Grats! I just saved you a lot of money.

You calculations above does not include Act Fee, Registration, Title, Tags or Documentation Fee.

only a dealer will tell you its a requirement because they dont have any back end money on ED cars. The majority of meat in the deal on ED cars is whatever they mark up, in this case $500 and they managed to get more by bumping another .00030 MF.

The buyrate from BMW on ED cars is .00030 higher than on US cars. This is not from the dealership.

This is through BMW financial. Has nothing to do with the dealer. It is bumped because BMW covers your second payment. Get financed through another financial institution you will not have to pay for it.

A bump, but I couldn't yield the same Interest Portion of your payment using your same formula. According to your formula, it is (Cap Cost + Residual) * MF
In this case, (43895 + 32206) * .00111 = $84.47. Am I missing something?

You're correct, OP's is mis-calculated.

And chrisv_335EBII got the correct monthly payment. So if the OP sees this, just saved a lot of money lol
