Interesting. I've switched on the sports steering option purely to get sports+ but what are the hardware differences I wonder...?

I'm currently using eSys 3.18.4 with 47.4 psdzdata files which work fine with the I-step of my car (F020-12-07-530).

Is there any advantage in updating eSys to the current 3.22.5 version while leaving everything else the same, or is that even possible?

I don't want to update the psdzdata files to the latest as my understanding is that I'll then need to purchase a token, and until the dealer updates the car I don't need to do that.

No advantage at all. It is a matter of necessity. Either you need to update or you don't, and you don't...for now anyway...

Thanks, Shawn. I suspected as much, but just wondered if the latest eSys had any bug fixes, etc that were worth getting.

I'm sure I'll need to update the next time the car goes in for a service.

You get 6NH (combox) when you don't have enhanced BT, but it appears that all of the hardware is there, so changing your car from 6NH to 6NK and VO coding HU_CIC and CMB_MEDIA will enable enhanced BT.
so for my car 6NL and changed to 6NK the telematics will removed? and bmw assist as well?

From what's being said here and on on other forums, yes: Enabling 6NK will disable 6NL and remove BMW Assist. I have not tried it myself.

The alternative is to pay BMW another $200/year for the Convenience Plan which includes BMW online and other things.

I didn't opt for the Convenience Plan as my iPhone does all of those extra things already.

Are you sure about that?

Is your I-Step Current 502 or 503?

ISTA/P 2.49.1 F020-13-03-502
ISTA/P 2.49.2 F020-13-03-503
ISTA/P 2.49.3 F020-13-03-503

I am sure it is 503, and that you have 49.3 on your car, as both those CAFD files were added in ISTA/P 2.49.3.

PM sent.

Anyone know where I can enable the follow me function on the remote? By slightly press the 4th button, the head light comes up.

I remember on the f10, it is under cas. Now that I don't know where it is in the f30.

OFFICE - I once enabled everything in Office (sms, calendar, etc.), but I returned everything back to stock before I brought it in for the dealer. Now I can't remember how to re-enable! I enabled everything I could think of while coding under COMBOX/3002 PIM PARAMETER and under HU-CIC: MACRO_PIM . Anything else I'm missing? Thanks.

Try these in the CAF [FEM_01]

30D0 RemoteControl, 13:

RC_DEFAULT_IDG_4TH_BUTTON_SHORT
RC_DEFAULT_IDG_4TH_BUTTON_MID

I am looking for something quite odd: There is this button on the driver side for disabling the rear power windows. I would like to have it affect only the right rear window, the left rear window should not be affected just like the two in the front. The reason is that my 2 year old is on the right side in its own child seat, but on the other side we have the older one which I am ok with to control the window herself.

There was only one interesting parameter I found in the FEM_BODY which was the FH_KINDERSICHERUNG. However I believe it enables/disables the complete function.

Maybe someone has an idea?
