Fair price for engine mounts/control arms/alignment

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Morning guys. Looking to see if $1,050 or so is ok for engine mounts, trans mounts, all four control arms, sway bar links and an alignment. The price is for labor only.

I tried to do the arms but I did not have an impact wrench to remove the seized on bolts (I have done many suspension/brake jobs, etc. Just don't have the tool and the mounts the shop will have to do regardless).

Thanks.

Did the labor quote include number of hours? Reverse engineering the math: 7 hours - at $150 / hour - sounds about right for all this work. Virtually all repair estimates include some extra time to account for removal of frozen bolts an an example.

They said it's $125/hr for their shop. With having to take of our 6mo at home my wrenching time is pretty limited so I might have them do it.

Have you get a quote from multiple shops just to get a rough idea? With your limited time those labor hours doing it at home would easily double.

Waiting to hear back from one other euro car shop that's well known in the area.

Hey Bill,

It's around 119,000 miles. I purchased it with 58,000 and those parts were never touched. Suspension-wise I only did the shocks and associated parts
