Both my 2012 MB GLK and 2015 ML350 do not tolerate RainX
The washer works GREAT but the "fill up washer fluid" warning is on ALL the time with RainX. I'll stick with regular year round washer fluid when the new 228i arrives next month |

I just use a bottle of the BMW blue stuff with distilled water.

I was having Washer Fluid warnings a week ago. Filled up half way with some Rain X fluid I had in the garage. Warnings went away immediately. Even down to 12 degrees F this past week, no warnings.
Seems to be no problem with mine. 2016 F36. |

I use the basic blue fluid from Walmart or Pep Boys, without any problems. I would stay away from the Rain-X or other fluids with additives.

It's amazing. I've used that exclusively for the past 10 years. It doesn't streak, it doesn't freeze on the glass. It just works. And it's typically cheaper than anything else you will buy.
Whatever BMW loaded in my F30 at the factory (dealership?) was brutal. Started to freeze on the glass at -20C. |
