Same squeak on mine over bumps! Seems to be coming from gear selector. Sounds like tiny bird chirps.

I fixed my own squeak and I know exactly where it's coming from. Mine was coming from the lower part of the dash near the cup holders. I'll try to do a DIY

Thanks!
Yep I know exactly what youre hearing and I know what it is since I work on new model development with my company im pretty knowledable about squeak and rattles. I already fixed mine and Ill be glad to share the info.

Youre gonna have to roll up those sleeves and take down some panels.

The 1st panel that is rattling is your passanger side kick panel. This is the lowest panel under your dash. its the 3 white push pins they move around and when youre driving the car and its around 1500 rpm the car makes them vibrate and buzz.

The other one is your under dash hush panel the one with the 12v accessory and with the light. you will have to remove this and use squeak and rattle tape. I know most of you guys wont have this tape but you can substitue some foam. Ill show you where it goes. Pics attached.

Youre correct the dealer sucks at things like this. They always act like they dont hear shit. Really their ears arent trained to pick up things like this. You really have to know what and how to hear it.

There is one on my idrive aluminum panel towards the rear it buzzes. Ill fix that one tomorrow. I just got done fixing a bunch of other crap. But hey good find and good job keep em coming. It seems we have to take matters into our own damn hands to be 100% satisfied with 57k vehicles......

FYI, ,this was fixed by cleaning the rubber door seals of any products the pre-delivery team used on them. Advised you should only use water to clean these.

+1. ALso for referance if anyone tints the windows they will make a slight clatter sound against the inner door flock run seal. My e90 did it, my girlfriends does it, and my f30 is starting to do it. Just how it is.

Ah no problem you're very welcome. Im glad I can help. Thank you for the kind word sir .

Usually once you fix a rattle a new one pops up that is a little less faint. and the journey of finding it begins again. Unfortuanetly for us this f30 is still so new BMW has not worked out the kinks just yet.

If and when I find more rattles I will be sure to post the fix.

You might want to just create a DYI rattle detection/fix thread. That would get SOME attention!

You will be surprised. So many people have been complaining about it, this is a godsend. I was going to man up and start taking things apart but now I will have direction so thank you again.
