Install for the N55 and N20 downpipes on the F30 chassis is very easy. Lots of space to work with unlike the N54 engine.

I paid to have mine installed, it was $200. I'm debating an attempt to replace them OEM pipe and remove my tune to take it in for service here soon. A bit of extra work but better safe than sorry.

I did my DP on my back using jack stands in about 2-2.5hrs. Everything was easy except I couldn't figure out how to disconnect the 02 sensors from the engine bay. Now that I know were it is, its very easy.

Yeah and doing it for the second time would easily make it faster to do since you have the know how. It took my friend and I about 3-4 hours to do my springs and I'm certain we could probably do it in 2 hours again.

I've been searching online, but does anyone have a sound clip of the ER catless + stock exhaust on N55?

I'm assuming this is a pretty good comparison

want to put this on my car and am trying to find most up to date info

does it throw a code? if so how do you get rid of it?
car is still under warranty - assuming dealer would not care for this when taken in for service?
is it advisable to replace charge pipe at the same time?
any other things to be concerned with?

I have AFE scorcher, momentum intake and MPE - want more growl out of the engine as well as faster spool up from the turbo

any info is most appreciated - thank you!

any catless downpipes will throw a CEL.

A tune like the JB4 can remove the CEL or a standalone module like the BMS CanFlap module can also do it if your tune doesn't support code clearing, which I believe the AFE does not.

Upgraded charge pipe is a good idea once you start modding the car.

If you have access (or a friend who has access) to an Auto Skills Center on a military installation it is about $5-10/hour to rent a lift bay and they have a plethora of tools.
