Emissions light after JB1 and catted downpipe

Wondering if anyone here can offer insight into my emissions light on my F30 335i.

First I installed JB1 tune about month ago and had no issues. Very happy with my power gain.

Last week I installed AFE catted downpipe (p# 48-36310) which they claim does not cause CEL. Immediately after install car drove perfect no errors. After about 60 miles driving I get emissions light. I pulled following code:

122108 - Blow off valve jammed close
180001 - Catalytic converter, efficiency below limit value

My mechanic reset the error codes and I've been driving since yesterday with no emissions light. So far so good but I have a feeling it will come back again. Input is appreciated!

Anyone telling you that aftermarket catted downpipes will never throw a CEL on a modern BMW is either confused, misinformed or worse.

I agree. I bought catted dp from someone who claimed it didn't have CEL so I thought my chances were pretty good.

Im not sure if its true or not, havent seen anyone with one of their downpipes. But most of the companies that state there wont be a CEL are mostly wrong
