The cars are also the most reliable I've seen in any BMW generation, and soon, the cars will mostly be plug ins anyway, so yes, BMW has decided to stop waisting money with no return. It is rare that the used buyer becomes the new buyer of a BMW and the company often doesn't make profit from used car sales. Some guy would buy a car from Carmax, then roll into the dealership for a free $100 oil change? Why would they continue stuff like that? Want the shorter maintenance package, buy the car new. Most people either lease or finance for 36 mo anyway, so brakes won't be due unless you hammer the car; in such case, maybe you should be on the hook for it.
