Waiting time for the production/delivery date?

I have ordered a F30 328i M-sport () almost two weeks ago but my dealer has still not confirmed a delivery or production date. Is it normal to wait such a long time?

do you have a production number--if so, you can call BMW.
Your CA should have the most current info, however.

I ordered my 335 3 weeks ago and was given a production #, status 112 now but no production date as of today.

I have only a ordernumber and the status is 077, whatever that means.

077 does not appear on US code designations. Ask your CA or perhaps do a search for production code designations in your part of the world.

111 status here is order accepted, 112 scheduled for production ( I think any changes are frozen by BMWNA once past status 111.

Took me a month to get a production number, though I doubt that's normal...

According to some threads in the 'other' bmw forum, August has been filled up because the factory is off for two weeks in Aug and all other slots are taken. Earliest is now mid September. YMMV.

Never know till you ask, but the longer you wait, the lower the odds. These are hot cars and ED in the fall is a busy time.

Hey I see you are doing the ED, the car is pretty similar to the one I built, if you don't mind sharing how close were you to the ED invoice pricing???

Waiting on lease programs to be available before the inquiry. No credit pull or + invoice pricing discussions yet. Crazy I know, but my CA and I have a relationship. It will be +500 deal when we confirm it.

On the 328 ix (M Sport for me) they are waiting for EPA and CARP (California) approval as they are considered a new production. Hopefully will be soon.

I ordered my 335i Sport Line March 21 and the production started April 25 and ended May 18. And it is still in port - hopefully getting on the vessel Bess today, June16.

Congrats on your order, hope you enjoy your car. That is really a long wait, do you know why it took so long time?

I have been in status 112 for a few weeks now on order a 335 2012 SA build.
No worries because it has allowed me to make a few changes and spend some more money!

I think my wait time is just the result of a series of issues with the new 3 series sedan. First BMW got a lot of orders right away after the February launch, then they had some delays in getting the extra capacity into the Rosslyn plant in South Africa, then the EPA needed to retest mileage which affected production, then a bunch of ships got delayed in port in Buenos Aires when Argentina stopped allowing imports in May - and my car order hit each delay perfectly for maximum effect.

I guess it's because they don't have any available build slots. They are waiting for new ones. Each dealer in Sweden requests new ones once a month based on estimated sales. If you missed an available slot you have to wait until next months slot allocation or be lucky because BMW releases all unused slots one day each months but it's first come first served then so you have to have some luck with that.

Quoted the wrong message, my reply was aimed at your long waiting time not his long production.
