The problem with the 4GC is that it is the 4 series version of the 3GT and not a coupe with 4 doors like the 6GC. Add in the FWD 2 series Active Tourer and now the numbering system just denotes size, luxury and price. |

Bloated rear is reminiscent of the 3er GT. I don't understand all this (marketing-driven?) model fragmentation. Pointless.

I'm not loving these pics. The car looks great until the B pillar but the rear half looks messy. The lines of the rear doors, in particular, are really unflattering.

Looks like an Infiniti...

I would disagree, but I'd love for BMW to bring the M135i or the 335i Sport Wagon to North America... Instead we get 4 different versions of the same car, none of which can assist me with my Home Depot purchases.

In these pictures it looks like an Infiniti Q70 (I think that's what they call it now)

This is retarded. I can't think of anything else to say, just more money wasted for a non existent market segment. Seems like the slow biter end I suppose.

They had the easiest job ever here, just make it sexy like the 6er GC, they messed it up. Don't get me wrong, I love hatch backs and wagons, but this just doesn't work for me.

At first I thought "nice sedan, definite alternative to 335i" and then I saw the rear from that 3/4 angle. Just a bit to "chopped" in appearance to me. The hatchback functionality would be tempting though.

I remember in my youth that every car BMW released was gorgeous, and striking. 3,5,7... it didn't matter. All were beautiful. Now, meh, not so much. Most are ok, but I get the sense someone is saying, "don't make them prettier than the bigger / more expensive model."

I like it except for the hatch. I could probably live with that though and perhaps even learn to like it...I've never had one. An all around beautiful looking car.
I'll never understand the people that get all worked up on the nomenclature though. They sound like a bunch of grumpy old men..."Back in my day this was called the 3er coupe! Kids these days and their fancy even numbers!"

Funny. The hatch is what I do like about it. It would be much easier to load my bike into the back of this car than my F30. I cant wait to get my wagon back from the shop.
All in all this is a good looking car. Much better than the 3GT which is itself a million times better than the 5 GT which is IMO. |
