Swapping out intercoolers

Who has done it and how many hours would it take a shop?

i have done both i think it will take you 10mins lift , 10mins guard remove, 20-30mins to swap

i think its 60-90min job

What intercooler did you swap stock with, and if it isn't an annoyance, how much did new intercooler cost?

I put an ETS (extreme turbosystems) 5" in my E92 and it cost about $700 as I recall. 2 Hour job, roughly speaking. F30 is probably not that much different. Not sure if they have those same clamps for the connections that you basically have to break in order to remove, but that was the most difficult part of the entire operation.

That driver's side clamp is a bitch to get on the new intercooler. Took a few hands to really get it clipped in. Everything else was very simple.
