Avin USA 10.25 android system install DIY

OK so I disconnected it from the aux under my arm rest, disconnected the bmw head unit and plugged the audio out directly to an external speaker and it worked fine.

The problem only arises when I plug the harness into the head unit. Anyone have this problem?

anybody know if there is a way to change the right side of the Split screen in the original idrive? if there is a way.

Not yet, but we’re all hopeful this is a feature that is coming.

If you are coming from an 8.8 inch screen then you will have it. At least this is what i get. The right side of the split screen shows the original idrive.

I purchased one of these units and am having troubles with the Igo Nav map application opening and then goes dark and I was wondering if someone might want to share there apk with me?

I hope they fix up some of the sound issues that others are also experiencing as well with the next update.

guys I'm having major issues with GPS... I am using a splitter from the oem antenna and more often than not it doesn't pick up a signal at all and shows no satellites are visible. At this point I can go back to CCC nav and that works fine.

Then there are other times where it can see 20+ satellites with really strong signal, the location is not the issue, it really seems software related but avin have been useless.

has anyone had this issue?

Try this. Download GPS Tracker. And then reset the GPS Cache. I noticed when I did that it would work. So you will have to clear out the cache every couple of weeks.

I'm in the same boat no response to my issues either.

Did you swap over the optical cables from the old harness to the new harness?

I have poor GPS lock with the latest Feb2018 firmware .
Before it was better.
It seems to be a software issue that has to be resolved.

Poor GPS lock is what's holding me back from getting one of these. Hopefully they can fix that with a firmware upgrade and/or Gen 3. Unfortunately, GPS splitter is not an option for me as I do not have OEM navigation.

I got my gen 2 in December. I have a f22 without nav. I’ve never had a problem getting a gps signal and my antenna is under the dash. Are GPS issues model specific?

i tried that new software of 2-2018 and it is really great and fast plus new ID6 interface of course. Still hope that main Android 4.4 being upgraded to updated version but i do not think so due to lumited hardware inside the headunit.

my problem is that if I connect smartphone with usb it is not seen by the system. and I can not do screen mirroring. does anyone have the same problem?

I second this bug. Gps acts crazy and gets frequently disconnected. Highly unstable. Which previous version is working for you? Can you please share the latest working version?

The Jan2018 and Nov2017 firmwares were better in GPS locking speed and stability .
Not perfect but definitely better .
