Bad example: the speed limit is 55 but our cars can do well over 100, isnt that kind of the same thing...free will Exhaust, downpipe, etc all are pretty much the same concept, modifications and BMW can just as easily say they wont warranty the car with those mods either.

Congrats. Seriously, you probably won't. It's so easy to install and it's a p&p unit. Just follow the photo install pdf and take it easy with connector removal & re-connecting orientation. Not at all hard to do. Enjoy. You will LOVE it.

What sort of gains would I see going from BMS Stage 1 to BMS Stage 2 to on my 320i, keeping in mind I run 94 octane non-ethanol fuel?
Is it worth going to Stage 2, or only if I can run 50/50 (or higher) Ethanol blends for 100+ effective Octane? |

Wow, have a 328i m sport arriving in 8 weeks and this thread is most interesting. Coming from the Evo and Sti world it's odd to me that nobody has actually attempted to really tune these cars... Cobb comes to mind right away... How I'd love to be able to go to EFI logics in the north east and get a custom, maximized and safe toon for this car... Guess for once if nothing better comes out I'll leave my car stock
On the same topic, what about Remus? They seem to have a "tune" module also. Anyone tried them? |

This is a very interesting thread so far, is it common for a tune of this sort to have some soft of potential to change over time?
As far as I know this kind of tune is based off of consistent parameters so I'm unsure as to why people are reporting a slower car at some times and a faster car during others. Being that this tune only affects the boost pressure then having that nominal change shouldnt reduce performance as far as im aware. Can anyone clarify? |

I went with afe and I couldn't be happier. Ridiculously easy to install. I am having a hard time driving in anything other than sport mode.

Yeah I wouldn't hold your breath on Cobb. They stopped caring about BMW.

I've decided to get a tune very soon, so I've read up a lot on the differences between the AFE scorcher and the BMS stage 1 and because of the smoothness of the AFE and the increased torque I'm leaning towards that one. However is it true that the BMS clears hidden tuner codes because it has MAF control unlike the AFE? One necessary requirement for any tune I get is that it can be removed before servicing so the dealer will never find out. Can anyone comment on this or has anyone had experience with their dealer finding/not finding any tuner codes? Thanks
