Opticoat and brake dust
I just wanted to say that Bryan did my wheels while doing my car, and that I've heard a lot of complaints about brake dust, especially from an M-Sport brake package. In my opinion, brake dust is minimal with opticoat. On my e90, it use to really cake on, but after 2 weeks without washing, what's on there doesn't look too obvious and I can easily remove most of it with a simple spray wash! What comes off the brakes doesn't attatch to the wheels as much and what does can easily be rinsed off.

I thought the F30 had the 'anti-break dust' break pads? Because break dust is cancerous so they changed that, didn't they?
When it's really cold outside, and after warming up the car, reversing out of the garage (or anytime pressing down on the breaks) slowly the breaks squeak (since they're so cold), almost sounding like you still have the parking break on. Doesn't that happen because of the 'anti-break dust' ?? |

Ah, that makes sense.
Yea the squeal is kind of annoying, happens once in a while. Every time my dad hears it he keeps yelling "you're parking break is on!" from inside the house... haha |

I have Optiguard on my summer and winter wheels (this is the professional version rather than the consumer version of Opticoat) - got it applied to summer and winter wheels when I had my 335 m sport done in December with Optiguard. It is the best thing I ever did. Washing the wheels is a challenge in the winter but with Optiguard the accummulated brake dust quickly disappears with only a high pressure wash!
